Stop treating people better than you treat yourself. The same way they are important to you is the same way you should be important to yourself. Self-love is the best thing you could do for yourself because when you know that you don’t need to depend on anybody for something you could give yourself.
What You Should Do
Spend time with yourself, by asking yourself what you wanna do, and go do it, you do not need people to travel or go eat in a restaurant or go in a mall. You mostly likely might not do it because it would feel weird and then you will compare how you by yourself and how everybody is with their friends but the more you do it the better. Catch up on some shows you need to finish watch(I’m going to do that because exams are finished),read if you love reading that’s good to detox your mind or just plan anything you love doing. Buy yourself things for reaching your goals and milestones, or if you don’t want to buy something for yourself or don’t have the money, take the entire day for yourself and that means no social media. Tell yourself something positive everyday and everything you wear compliment yourself because I’m sure you looking good in whatever you wearing. Do you appreciate yourself and the things you’ve done? Like being happy you were able to do your best at something instead of being bitter about how much better you could have done it. Taking care of yourself is a form of self-love, you need to also know that no matter how much you sleep if your spirit is tired no amount of sleep can fix it. Do you pray? If you do I’m sure you feel enlightened when you give your burdens to God knowing you don’t have to deal with fixing it except have faith and music is a great factor that affects you in all ways, imagine you need a break from life and all you playing is rock hard music instead of something to calm you down but if the rock hard music calm you down cool. Do you have a journal? Just something you can do when you want to express yourself and don’t want to be judged and it reduces stress and anxiety because of how you letting your thoughts go on pen and paper instead of keeping it in and you can look back too but keeping those emotions for a long period of time will feel like it is attach to you(well it happened to me I don’t know if it will happen to you)but don’t go looking at it all the time it’s just a place you can express how you want.
What You Need To Understand
You are not going to love yourself in a few days or for some of you,weeks. You should be focus on learning from loving yourself rather than waiting until you love yourself then learn nothing from the process. You have to constantly be showing yourself love or otherwise the love will slowly fade and also you have to stop discriminating yourself even as a joke, some jokes are sometimes the truth in disguise. Punishments are also a form of loving yourself because it teaches you discipline.
